GAINES CHARTER TOWNSHIP, Mich. -- The Kent County Sheriff's Office says it is conducting a double-death investigation in the Cutlerville area of Gaines Township.
It is in the 67-hundred block of Madison Avenue near Summer Shores Drive. That is at the entrance to a subdivision north of 68th Street.
Sergeant Scott Dietrich tells WOOD Radio the bodies of a woman and man were found inside a home. It happened just after 1 p.m. Monday. Detectives are on the scene investigating how it happened, but the two died "from an apparent shooting between the two," per Sgt. Dietrich.
No names have been released yet.
He told us at the scene that it is being investigated as a homicide for now and whether it may have been a murder-suicide is one of the possibilities they are considering.
