ORANGE TOWNSHIP (WOOD-AM) - Dispatchers in Ionia County say two people were killed in a fiery crash involving a semi, a pickup and a box truck on Interstate 96 near Sunfield Highway in Orange Township.
Sheriff's deputies say the box truck rear-ended the pickup, which caused it to hit the back of the semi.
The drivers of the pickup and box truck died after being trapped inside their burning vehicles.
The semi driver wasn't hurt.
The crash is being blamed on drivers not not keeping safe and adequate following distances while driving through the construction zone.
