TROWBRIDGE TOWNSHIP (WOOD-AM) - Sheriff's deputies in Allegan County are urging people to avoid the Kalamazoo River after two rescued kayakers had to be treated for minor injuries and cold exposure.
Their kayak tipped over near 32nd Street and Valley Vista Lane in Trowbridge Township after it struck a log.
In a news release, deputies are asking people to avoid the river due to “high water levels, cold water temperatures and downed trees from recent storms."
