GRAND RAPIDS (WOOD-AM) - The Grand Rapids Children's Museum reopens this morning after an electrical fire in a model chimney prop closed the facility last month.
Marketing Director Megan Geiken tells WOOD-TV that they're happy to return to normal operations.
"We have to say goodbye temporarily to the restaurant exhibit that's in the museum," she said. "It will come back someday, (but we) just couldn't come back in time for Spring Break."
Geiken also said walls and education tools had to be cleaned and carpets had to be replaced.
