OCSO: 18-year-old killed in Wright Township shooting, suspect arraigned

[3 p.m. Monday] - UPDATE:

The Ottawa County Sheriff's Office has identified the shooting victim as Hector Enriques-Rangel of Wright Township. And it said 18-year-old Alan Lopez was arraigned Monday afternoon on the following charges:  involuntary manslaughter, carrying a concealed weapon and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. 

The Ottawa County Sheriff's Office says 18-year-old Hector Enriquez-Rangel of Wright Township was shot in a car near Arthur Street and 40th Avenue just before 7 o'clock. And the man who allegedly pulled the trigger was an 18-year-old friend of his, Alan Lopez, also of Wright Township.

Police are investigating the circumstances that led to the shooting.

GRAND RAPIDS (WOOD-AM) - An 18-year-old has died at a Grand Rapids hospital after being shot in Wright Township on Saturday.

Another 18-year-old was arrested and is expected to be charged today.

Ottawa County Sheriff's investigators say the shooting happened near Arthur Street and 40th Avenue before 7 p.m.

The name of the victim has not been released.
