Sick time, tipped wage compromise bills clear legislature

LANSING (WOOD-AM) - Just prior to a deadline set by the governor, state lawmakers have passed compromise bills on paid sick time and tipped wages.

Small businesses will not be required to offer at least 40 hours of paid sick leave until October 1.

Also passing yesterday, another compromise bill that will preserve the tipped wage system.
