Muskegon DPW to host open house Feb. 19 to discuss road projects

MUSKEGON, Mich. -- The Muskegon Department of Public Works will host an open house on February 19th to provide information about upcoming road and utility projects.

The work is scheduled for the 2025 construction season. The projects will upgrade area infrastructure. The open house will run from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the DPW offices on East Keating Avenue. Residents will get a chance to review plans, speak with project representatives, and learn about the benefits of the planned improvements.

The 2025 projects are slated to begin in the spring, pending weather and other conditions. Residents are encouraged to call the DPW at any time for additional details or updates regarding the projects.

2025 Road & Utility Construction Projects

Complete Reconstruction:

• First St from Hamilton to Apple

• Southern Ave from Lakeshore to Seaway

• Mill and Resurface Project:

• Sun Dolphin Rd and Oak Ave

Bridge Removal/Replacement:

• Amity St Bridge Lead Service Line Replacement Areas:

• Campbell Field Neighborhood

• Sheldon Park Neighborhood

• Oakview Neighborhood

• Along Apple Ave

Residents who are unable to attend the open house or have follow-up questions can visit the DPW website to access detailed project PDFs. Each document includes a specific contact person for the project, who will be available to address questions or concerns throughout the construction season.
