GRAND RAPIDS (WOOD-AM) - Federal authorities have arrested a 30-year-old Atlanta man in Grand Rapids for allegedly killing a Texas man who was found at a freeway rest stop in Arkansas last month.
Arkansas State Police say Darius Simmons was arrested Friday and is awaiting an extradition hearing.
Simmons is facing murder, robbery, property theft and other charges.
German Portillo-Batres was found on the shoulder of the Interstate 40 rest stop in January.
