Holland Police identify suspects inside of vehicle from which shots fired

HOLLAND, Mich. -- Holland Police have identified the suspects in a shots-fired incident over the weekend.

The gunshots were fired from a vehicle Sunday outside a gas station, which then sped away with the headlights off.

That led to a chase and a subsequent crash. The time was around 2:30 a.m., and the location where the shots were fired was a gas station at Washington Avenue and 33rd Street.

Holland Public Safety says an officer was responding to a report of a large fight there and arrived just in time to hear the shots fired and gave chase. The vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed and failed to negotiate a curve on 32nd Street near South Shore Drive before crashing into a tree.

Holland DPS says two brothers inside the vehicle died. The driver has been identified as 26-year-old Alfredo Mojica Majin and the passenger as 21-year-old Bryan Mojica, both of Holland.

Police say a pistol was located in the vehicle after the crash, and the calliber of the bullet casings matched the pistol found in the vehicle.
