Crews in Kentwood battle fire at senior facility

KENTWOOD, Mich. -- Crews are fighting a fire in Kentwood late Thursday afternoon, just north of the Gaines Township line.

The location is 5980 Eastern Ave. SE. That is just north of 60th Street, and less than a block from the Kentwood Public Schools Administration Building.

There is no confirmation yet, but some residents in the area say they heard everyone got out safely. That was at the time of this report at 3:30pm.
