WYOMING, Mich. -- Three car/pedestrian accidents since Wednesday night in Kent County have claimed two lives and sent one man to the hospital.
The first was Tuesday night in Kentwood, when a 32-year-old man was struck by a car on the East Beltline at Woodland Drive and then by a pickup truck that Kentwood Police say did not stop at the crash scene.
Then, this morning, a 55-year-old man was seriously injured when a semi-truck hit him while it was turning onto westbound 28th Street from Division Avenue just before 7 o'clock. Wyoming Public Safety officers and firefighters responded
About a half-hour later, a 32-year-old woman was struck and killed by a westbound vehicle as she tried to walk across Chicago Drive near Nagel Avenue. Police say she was struck by another vehicle heading eastbound. Wyoming Public Safety said she was declared dead at the scene.
At the time of publication, police had not release the pedestrians' name. The investigations continue and police are trying to notify family members of the victims.
