Health department encouraging vaccinations amid rise in measles cases

As spring break gets underway, health officials are reminding people about the importance of measles vaccinations as there has been an uptick of cases across the country.

The Kent County Health Department is encouraging people to get vaccinated, as its very effective, especially given the recent increase.

If you’ve had two documented vaccine doses, you are considered protected. Bora said people who were born before 1957 are also considered to be immune.
