ALLEGAN, Mich. -- A 15-year-old girl is facing charges after allegedly planning an attack at Allegan High School.
Prosecutors filed charged of false report or threat of terrorism, stealing a firearm, felony firearm and safe breaking. The arrest affidavit shows the the FBI's Detroit field office notified the Allegan Police Department about the threat toward the school. Federal officials were able to use IP address to identify the suspect. The girl is being charged as an adult.
Police went to the girl's home and spoke with her and a parent. They read through the plans she had sent to two people online. The girl allegedly confessed to breaking into her mother's gun safe and stealing a glock.
