MomsBloom to pause operations due to funding gap

OTTAWA COUNTY, Mich. -- A nonprofit that helps new parents in suspending their work due to a gap in funding.

MomsBloom will carry out visits with their current clients. Individuals who signed up for future services will be referred somewhere else.

The group says they get their funding through a seed fund for the Community Foundation for the Holland and Zeeland area. Their current funding will run out at the end of the month. The nonprofit says additional anticipated funding sources were not available.

MomsBloom Board Chair Jacqueline Bos says the decision was not made lightly and they are hoping pause in operations means they can come back stronger with a more sustainable model for the long-term.
