Man killed in industrial accident in Rockford

(ROCKFORD, MI) An industrial accident in the City of Rockford has taken one life. Rockford Police Chief Dave Robinson says they received a call for help at just after one in the afternoon on Tuesday, near the intersection of Bridge and River streets. Robinson says that a 43 year old man from Kent City was trimming trees in that area when the accident involving a towable trailer boom lift occured. The accident is under investigation by the folks from the Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Adminstration. The name of the victim will not be released until all of the family has been notified.
