John Ball Zoo to charge non-residents for parking

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- Parking at the John Ball Zoo will soon cost $5 for guests who do not live in Kent County.

The zoo said on Friday the change will be implemented in the coming weeks.

Parking will remain free for Kent County residents and zoo members.

The revenue from parking will support JBZ's mission of saving wildlife and wild place, maintenance of facilities and investment in amenities for guests.
