Woman, 68, killed in Muskegon Township crash with teenager

MUSKEGON TOWNSHIP (WOOD-AM) - Police say a 68-year-old woman was killed in a crash after a teenager drove through a red light in Muskegon Township early Monday.

It happened as the 17-year-old was heading eastbound on Apple Avenue. The teenager's vehicle struck the woman's vehicle as it was heading north on Quarterline Road.

The crash happened around 10:20 a.m.

The woman was taken to the hospital, where she later died.

Muskegon Township Police and Michigan State Police are working on the investigation.
