Members of the West Michigan Sports Commission are breaking ground on an expansion project at the Meijer Sports Complex in Rockford.
Almost two years after the Winning Streak capital campaign was announced, crews took the first steps to begin the expansion.
The expansion will include 20 pickleball courts, a new concession stand, a playground, three flex-use diamond fields, additional parking and a new championship field.
The facility will remain open while construction is ongoing.
Work is expected to be completed in October 2025.
