The Rapid and union workers have agreed upon a new three-year contract.
The previous contract expired on June 9 of this year, and ever since then the bus service and the Amalgamated Transit Union Local 836 have been negotiating new terms. A proposal made in July was strongly rejected by Union Workers, saying that it had offered inadequate wages among other things.
However, now the two parties have come to a tentative agreement.
