Around 12:19 p.m. this afternoon, officers with the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office responded to a crash that led one person to be airlifted to the hospital with critical injuries.
Initial investigation revealed that a blue Mitsubishi Outlander driven by a 59-year-old woman from Holland was travelling westbound on Adams St. and turned onto 84th Avenue. It was then she completed the turn in front of a Jeep Grand Cherokee headed eastbound, which was driven by a 19-year-old man from Zeeland.
The 86-year-old woman and passenger of the Outlander suffered critical injuries that caused her to be taken by Aero Med to the hospital. The driver was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries and the 19-year-old was not hurt.
The crash remains under investigation.
