Caledonia man, 42, jailed for alleged role in alcohol-for-sex scheme

CALEDONIA TOWNSHIP (WOOD-AM) - Kent County Sheriff's deputies say a Caledonia man has been arrested after a 17-year-old told detectives that he would sell discounted alcohol and vaping devices to high school girls in the Byron Center, Forest Hills, Lowell and Caledonia areas in exchange for nude photos and videos.

Scott Elam, 42, is facing five felony charges.

Investigators also think Elam may have filmed sexual acts in his home.
