Pedestrian-involved crashes increased in 2023

The Michigan State Police Criminal Justice Information Center is releasing data that shows there were less crashed and deaths in the state in 2023 compared to 2022.

In 2023, Michigan reported 287,953 crashes and 1,095 fatalities.

Both figures were down two percent from 2022.

However, in that same time frame, pedestrian-involved crashed increased by 11 percent.
