POLKTON TOWNSHIP (WOOD-AM) - Around 500 cows were loose after a late-Wednesday fire near Coopersville.
It happened at a dairy farm on 56th Avenue south of Roosevelt Street after 10 p.m.
The owner of the farm, employees, firefighters, and residents were helping to rescue the cows when Ottawa County Sheriff's deputies arrived at the scene.
Firefighters had the flames out this morning.
