MSP: Driver dead, passenger airlifted after crash in Caledonia Township

CALEDONIA TOWNSHIP (WOOD-AM) - Michigan State Police say a person was killed and a second person was flown from the scene with critical injuries following a crash in Caledonia Township.

It happened around 5:30 a.m.

Investigators say a semi was heading northbound on Cherry Valley Avenue when it collided with a car that crossed the center line near 100th Avenue.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger in the driver's vehicle suffered critical injuries.

The driver of the semi was not hurt.
