A Michigan Unemployment Insurance Agency employee is receiving national recognition for discovering a multi-state fraud ring.
UIA Regulation Agent Kurt Eggly received the Special Achievement Award by the Department of Labor's Inspector General.
The 15 suspects reportedly made 600 fraudulent unemployment claims in 19 states and could have stolen more than $7 million.
All of the suspects have been found guilty of wire fraud or aggravated identity theft.
