GRAND RAPIDS (WOOD-AM) - The Founders Brewing Company Taproom in Grand Rapids will open Monday with a new kitchen.
Executive Chef Paul Engelhardt tells WOOD-TV that it was a key component in a $1 million renovation.
"We want to elevate the food so it can match the beer," Engelhardt said. "Hopefully, it can match the beer, because they do a great job.”
Engelhardt says founders will now be able to serve burgers, fries and fish.
"We have entrees now instead of just sandwiches," he said.
Dining spaces have also been improved.
