BBB warning of travel scams ahead of spring break

The Better Business Bureau is warning about travel scams as spring break season approaches.

The BBB says scammers can target you by listing properties that are not real or are not actually for rent.

Scammers can also create fake third-party websites to offer cheaper rates for flights, hotels and more.

The organization recommends researching the area you plan to travel to, be wary of third party websites with no contact information or address and avoid uses phrases like "best deals" in search engines.
