Home for youth aging out of foster care opening

A Grand Rapids adoption and foster care program is opening a home for individuals who have aged out of the system.

D.A. Blodgett-St. John's is launching a program called Independent Living Plus for youth ages 16 to 19.

Youth must be referred by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services or by a case worker.

The teens will have full amenities on the campus as well as therapy, medical and psychiatric support and on-site coaching.
