Kids' Food Basket is preparing for a major winter storm that is forecasted to hit this weekend.
The nonprofit says they are preparing to provide children with additional food that will last through the weekend and a possible snow day on Friday.
Vice president of programming Austin Roelofs says they have a couple dozen people packing sack supper that will be delivered tomorrow.
With Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday, the nonprofit was already anticipating increased need.
