GRAND RAPIDS (WOOD-AM) - Grand Rapids Public Schools has announced a closure following yesterday's snowy weather.
It marks the district's first snow day of 2024.
"These decisions all come down to safety, and with the rapid snow accumulation and icing that have occurred, we felt it would be in the best interest of our scholars to cancel classes for the day," Supt. Leadriane Roby said in a press release.
Administrative offices will remain open, the district said.
GRPS is on a lengthy list of closures for Wednesday, which you can see here.
