Helen DeVos Children's Hospital issuing visitor restrictions

Corewell says says Helen DeVos Children's Hospital is implementing new visitor restrictions due to an increase in respiratory illnesses.

The restrictions will only impact the children's hospital and not other Corewell locations.

Effective immediately, only two visitors are allowed with patients during the day and only one visitor is allowed during the overnight hours.

The restrictions do not impact the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

The hospital says some patients may be placed in beds in non-traditional settings during this time and some wait times may be longer than normal.
