Governor Gretchen Whitmer is announcing a special election will be held to fill two House of Representative seats.
Former state Rep. Lori Stone was elected the mayor of Warren and Rep, Kevin Coleman was elected mayor of Westland, leaving two vacancies.
The primary will be held on January 30, 2024 with the general election taking place on April 16, 2024.
Candidates have until November 27 at 4 p.m. to file paperwork to announce their candidacy.
