Kent County is indefinitely tabling their vote on the John Ball Zoo master plan amendment that would turn part of the park near the zoo into a parking lot.
County Commissioners heard from the community as well as the zoo on the amendment to the master plan on Tuesday.
The county owns the land the zoo is located on which means the zoo needs to have their master plan and any amendments to it approved by the commission.
The zoo and the county have until 2025 to find a solution.
