Former Grand Rapids City Commissioner Senita Lenear is announcing she is running for mayor.
Her second term as Third Ward City Commissioner ended on December 31, 2022.
Lenear says as mayor she would focus on the city's carbon neutral goals, river restoration, the SAFE Task Force, intentional redevelopment along Plainfield, 28th Street and Alpine and more.
She says she is committed to the city and is ready to use her experiences to serve the city as a whole.
