Ottawa County's health officer wants court to enforce settlement

OLIVE TOWNSHIP (WOOD-AM) - Ottawa County's administrative health officer is asking a judge to enforce a big money settlement that would end her lawsuit against commissioners.

But county board attorney David Kallman says no deal is in place with Adeline Hambley's attorney, Sarah Howard.

"Howard doesn't understand what settlement discussions are," Kallman told WOOD-TV.

The settlement reportedly calls for Hambley receiving $4 million.

Hambley says she agreed to resign by December 15 after the county board started moving toward firing her in January.

A court hearing has been scheduled for November 27.
