Crash in GR injures pedestrian, causes power outage

A crash that injured a pedestrian also took out power in part of Grand Rapids on Thursday afternoon.

The crash happened around 3:45 p.m. on Fuller Avenue near Coldbrook Street.

A pedestrian sustained minor injuries in the crash.

The vehicle also hit a power pole causing the outage.

Roughly 1,350 customers were without power as of 4:30 p.m.

Consumers Energy estimates power will be restored by 9:00 p.m.
