KENTWOOD (WOOD-AM) - There was a vigil last night for a 17-year-old who was fatally shot in Kentwood late Friday.
Franklin de Jesus worked at a Culver's in the area. His manager, Till Johnson, says she's heartbroken.
"Erasing him off the schedule is really hard for me because I never thought I would have to erase him," Johnson told WOOD-TV.
Johnson said de Jesus was celebrating his birthday at the Delta Hotel on 28th on the night that he was shot, though it's still not clear what prompted the shooting.
No arrests have been made.
