City commissioners approve major renovation for Grand Rapids Public Museum

GRAND RAPIDS (WOOD-AM) - A $50 million expansion and major renovation has been approved by city commissioners for the Grand Rapids Public Museum.

It will be the first major renovation there in nearly thirty years.

President Dale Robertson says they will have access to the riverfront for the public at all times once the expansion is done.

An outdoor kitchen will also be added and the carousel will be accessible from outside.
