GRAND HAVEN (WOOD-AM) - Days before the start of her embezzlement trial, a woman has admitted to stealing millions of dollars from Trinity Health in Grand Haven.

Cindy Norgren entered guilty pleas Monday.

Investigators say Norgren, who was an accounting manager at the hospital, funneled money to an account in her name at Macatawa Bank between January 2020 and December 2022. She then used the money to pay down credit cards.

As part of her plea agreement, the prosecutor would not ask for a sentence higher than guidelines and would not ask for consecutive sentences if Norgren pays at least $1 million in restitution before her sentencing on August 21.
