GRAND RAPIDS (WOOD-AM) - A Grand Rapids grandfather could get up to fifteen years in prison after his teenage grandson killed another boy while they were playing with a gun last year.

George Gross pleaded no contest to a count of negligent discharge causing death.

Kent County Prosecutor Chris Becker says the gun that fatally shot 13-year-old Gabriel Hojnacki came from an unlocked dresser.

Gross was initially charged with involuntary manslaughter.
