Restaurants excited at possibility of permanent to-go cocktails

Restaurants in Michigan are excited as the state Legislature is discussing making the sale of to-go cocktails permanently legal.

To-go cocktails were approved during the COVID pandemic so bars and restaurants could make up for lost revenue.

The approval is currently set to expire on January 1, 2026.

On May 2, the House voted 102-5 to approve a measure making to-go drinks legal.
