Ottawa County now a "constitutional county" after board vote

OLIVE TOWNSHIP (WOOD-AM) - Ottawa County is now a "constitutional county" following a vote during a commission meeting.

The resolution was championed by board chairperson Joe Moss. It passed on a 9-1 vote - the only "no" vote was from Doug Zylstra, a Democrat.

Supporters say the resolution includes protections against freedoms being suspended in times of crisis and the protection of parental rights.
