Mastodon bones found in Kent County on display

The mastodon skeleton that was found along the Kent County border last summer will soon be on display at the Grand Rapids Public Museum.

The exhibit opens Saturday as part of a new exhibit called "Ice Age: Michigan's Frozen Secrets."

The bones are called the "Clapp Family Mastodon."

Most of the bones are still drying, however some will be on display.
