UNICEF: Childhood vaccines down since pandemic

UNICEF says millions of children missed out on routine vaccinations due to the pandemic.

UNICEF released a report saying worldwide, between 2019 and 2021, 67 million children missed part or entire vaccinations.

The organization says this sets vaccination levels back to rates not seen since 2008.

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan Dr. Angela Seabright says due to a rapid spread of misinformation the confidence level in vaccines decreased causing a drop in vaccination coverage.

Seabright says this could lead to polio or measles outbreaks among kids.
