Millennium Park pond reopens

A pond in Millennium Park is reopening after a sheen was found on the water recently.

The Kent County Health Department asked the public to stay away from the pond on April 15 after a heavy sheen was found on the water.

The Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes and Energy says no compounds were found in the samples they took from the water.

The area is now open for swimming and fishing.
