Kent County to hold candlelight vigil to honor crime victims

Silent Observer and the Kent County Victim Witness Unit will hold a candlelight vigil to remember victims of crime next week.

The vigil will be held on April 27 at 6 p.m. at the 63rd District Court and will last 30 minutes.

Deputy Chief Kristen Rogers, Prosecutor Chris Becker and GR resident Jerline Riley, whose son was killed, will speak at the event.

The names of victims will be read out loud during the vigil.

The event is part of National Crime Victim's Rights Week.
