GRAND RAPIDS (WOOD-AM) - A 63-year-old Detroit man has been ruled competent to stand trial for his alleged role in the murder of 16-year-old Mujey Dumbuya five years ago.

That decision reverses a Kent County Circuit Court judge's ruling.

Gerald Bennett is accused of helping Quinn James kidnap and kill the East Kentwood High School student after she accused James of raping her.
