Newaygo County Emergency Services says open burning is not allowed currently due to a high fire danger because of strong winds and warm temperatures.
Officials have not set a date or time when open burning can resume.
The county is continuing to allow contained, recreational campfires.
Any updates to the order will be updated on the Michigan Department of Natural Resources' website.
