GR to hold meetings discussing homelessness

The city of Grand Rapids will hold two meetings next week to discuss homelessness.

The Grand Rapids Public Safety Committee and the National Civil League are joining forces with a goal of hearing concerns from the public, sharing information and talking about how programs can fix problems in the community.

The meetings will be held at the Goei Center on Monday from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until noon.

At a similar meeting in December, the public commented on harassment, assault and public defecation.
