GRAND RAPIDS (WOOD-AM) - The Grand Rapids Police Department has put out a warning that says scammers are calling people and pretending to be cops.

GRPD says the scammer will say the person getting the call has an outstanding warrant and they need to pay a fine.

Anyone who receives the suspicious call is being urged to contact the GRPD's non-emergency line after hanging up on the scammer.
